T1 Replace 23savage with Gabbi for DPC Regional Finals
T1 have announced a change in their Dota 2 roster ahead of DPC SEA 2021/2022 Tour1: Regional Finals. Nuengnara "23savage" Teeramahanon has been benched, the team will compete there with the former Talon player Kim "Gabbi" Villafuerte Santos.
The Thai carry 23savage, who is currently only 19 years old, joined T1 last March. He helped the team to win the second season of the regional DPC league and to place 3rd at WePlay AniMajor. Thus, the team managed to qualify for their first The International, where they finished 7-8th. Earlier this year they also placed 3rd in the first tour of the new DPC season. Now the player will play at BTS Pro Series 10 for Motivate.Trust Gaming on loan.
23-years-old Filipino carry Gabbi recently departed Talon Esports alongside Tal "Fly" Aizik – the players decided to leave the team following their weak performance in the regions second division, where they placed 5th. While Gabbi will represent the team at the upcoming DPC Regional Finals, it is unknown whether he will continue playing for the team after its conclusion.
The regional finals of Dota Pro Circuit are being held instead of the Spring Major that was cancelled earlier this year. It is scheduled for February 11th – 13th and will feature four teams competing in a double-elimination bracket for a $100,000 prize pool. In their first match, T1 will face Fnatic.
Earlier we reported that T1 might acquire former OG player, two-times TI champion Anathan "ana" Pham, who for the last two years has been mostly inactive.
