IEM Fall is the Final RMR Event for All Regions

ESL have announced that their upcoming IEM Fall event has been granted the RMR-status for all six regions. It will be the final Regional Major Rankings event before PGL Major Stockholm 2021 with a total prize pool of $255,000.

By far the biggest region will be Europe, featuring 24 teams competing for a $105,000 prize pool. It will also be the only region played as a LAN-event in a studio environment. The other regions will be played online with much less participants – both North America and CIS will have 12 competing teams, while Asia, South America, and Oceania will feature four participants each.

Most of the regions will begin on September 29th, while some of them will start on October 5th. According to the RMR rules, half of the participants will be based on the current rating, while the other half will be determined through the qualifiers.

PGL Major Stockholm 2021 is scheduled for October 23rd – November 7th, and is supposed to be played at Avicii Arena in Stockholm, Sweden. However, the organizers might relocate the event to a different European city if the Swedish capital will not be able to accommodate the event with a major live audience. It will be the first major event since summer 2019 and will feature a $2,000,000 prize pool.
