The Russian organization Gambit Esports has announcement that all their Dota 2 players have successfully arrived to Singapore, where this weekend they will compete in the preliminary stage of the major.

Earlier the team, currently playing under the AS Monaco Gambit name, placed third in the DPC’s CIS Upper Division – this way they qualified for the major’s Wild Card stage.

The stage is scheduled for March 27th – 28th and will feature six teams competing in a single round-robin group with best-of-two series. Besides Gambit, the stage will feature Team Nigma and Team Liquid from Europe, Vici Gaming and PSG.LGD from China, as well as T1 from Southeast Asia. The best two teams will qualify for the group stage.

ONE Esports Singapore Major 2021 is scheduled for March 27th – April 4th and will feature 18 teams competing for a $500,000 prize pool. It will be the first Dota 2 LAN-event since the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier we reported that the other CIS team – Natus Vincere – will be competing at the major with two replacements. The team’s midlaner Bogdan "Iceberg" Vasilenko and full-support Andrii "ALWAYSWANNAFLY" Bondarenko were tested positive for COVID-19 and will be replaced by Roman "RAMZES666" Kushnarev and Andrey "Mag" Chipenko.
