Former Heroic and North Player Mertz Switches to VALORANT

Daniel "mertz" Mertz, a 23-years-old player from Denmark, has decided to switch disciplines. After playing CS:GO professionally for six years, he decided to transfer to VALORANT. While the player still has an active contract with Nordavind, the organization allowed him to “explore new opportunities”.

Mertz started his career in 2015, with his most successful year so far being 2018, when he won Games Clash Masters 2018 and TOYOTA Master CS:GO Bangkok 2018 with Heroic, as well as emerged victorious at DreamHack Open Tours 2018 with North. Later in his career he also played for Singularity, Copenhagen Flames, x6tence without much success.

This February Mertz joined Nordavind. With them he managed to finish second at Elisa Invitational Spring, however last month the organization decided to list the entire roster for transfer due to disappointing results.
